2 Remarks By our Students

Jagveer Singh M.Tech C.S.E. 5- years
My exposure to Computer Science began after I entered SGGSWU. The Excellent facilities, courses and faculty have given me a firm background of fundamentals in Computer Science. I find the problems in theoretical computer science particularly because of the flavour of abstract mathematics because problems are practically originated here. My long term goal is to be actively involved with research and teaching in area of my interest. I look forward to such an extent that to be a part of faculty at a reputed university. A PhD in this field would be crucial first step toward my goal. I have realized that the computer department of SGGSWU is providing me a perfect environment for directing my mental resources towards independent research. My active involvement and enthusiasm in my undergraduate studies has possessed me to the required necessary qualities. My Employer would not afford to pay me more than the value I will contribute is my approach towards my life.

Harshpreet Kaur M.Tech C.S.E. 5- years
I am Harshpreet Kaur, studying in Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. This university is the finest and the best university in our region which has a mix of urban and rural students and has good transport facilities. I am an easy going person who works well with everyone. University gave me plenty of opportunities to develop my skills as a team player. Playing basketball and badminton became literally vital to me & I realized that it contributed to my psychological balance. I managed to make a documentary on my city – Patiala within a day, proficiently and backed third position at university level. I pursue to become an I.A.S. Officer, keen to
learn photography and want to try my skills at Radio Jockeying. My Mother is my role model in my life. She‟s the best teacher who taught me to be determined towards work and give best. I have learnt a lot from the tenure of our student life in the university. My philosophy towards life is: “ALWAYS GIVE YOUR BEST.”

JasleenKaurM.Tech C.S.E. 5- years
I am Jasleen Kaur from M.Tech-5yr C.S.E. department in this university. According to me, when you come to leave the road and look, what will you value most? I doubt that it will be money in bank or haw many ‟likes‟ you have on facebook. It would be human relationships and studying in SGGSWU has helped me in gaining lot of human values. Every person in this world have someone in their life that they look up to, these people are called “Role Models”. Mine is my uncle. He influences my life by inspiring me to set certain goals and allows me to develop certain traits as we strive to be like them. My primary career goal is to devote my time and energy to a particular company that grants me the ability to spearhead new projects, generate revenue and participate in business oriented activities that will allow me to constantly transcend myself as the ultimate worker. My philosophy in life is- take things day by day, one step at a time and never take things for granted. I live by these two mottos because it helps me get through the days when I am upset or just ready to give up.

Hardeep Singh M.Tech C.S.E.- 5 years
I feel proud to be student of this university. Gaming state of the out knowledge both in theory and practice is vital to be successful in today‟s dynamic environment. A successful technocrat is one who is creative and innovative who has problem solving aptitude and skills at his command and who is able to participate in multicultural and multinational environment. SGGSWU makes endeavour to provide a conductive and congenial milieu where all the three components of a personality – body, mind, soul grow harmoniously and in perfect equilibrium. I think that we should work together and make a civilized society and contribute towards development of a nation. This university imparts not only technical education but along with that boost up the morale by incorporating good, ethical values. I believe“ SaJaat Sa Pat Hai , JeheKaramKamaye” means that is your status and that is your social class - the karma of what you have done.

Anuradha Sharma M.Tech C.S.E.-5 years
The aim of my life is to become a software engineer and to get a job in a multinational company. I am pursuing my M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering in this university to achieve my goal. I feel the university is the ideal place for me to pursue my studies with the comprehensive and competent faculty in field of computer science. The quality of knowledge is provided in very interactive manner. The university also provides spiritual and ethical knowledge for stimulating students to respect their religion. Along with studies, I also keep on surfing various new technologies, reading competitive books to enhance my knowledge. My role model is Steve Jobs. He is charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and well known for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields.
His strategy to set a goal and stay committed towards the end gave way to tremendous success and inspires me a lot. My motto in life is that “nothing is impossible, no target is unachievable - one just has to try harder and harder”. I deal with things as they come, learn from mistakes, deal with the bad times, enjoy the good, just keep chugging on I am very glad and feel proud to be a student of first batch of M.Tech (5-yr) of the university.

AkanshaMakhijaM.Tech. C.S.E. 5-years
In this era of information technology I feel a sense of pride in being so closely associated with the field of computer science. The desire to forge ahead in this field by doing cutting edge research has motivated me to pursue graduate studies. My main objective during my undergraduate studies is to get an overview of various fields in computer science and identify a field
of interest in which I could pursue my research career. Because of their vast applications, computer systems, in general, have attracted me. The graduate program at Sri Guru Granth sahib World University is fully suited to my goals. So, I had taken admission in this university. My role model is Bill Gates. He inspires me because he is one of the most influential people in the world. I also want to be a self motivated, dynamic and practical person. Attending this prestigious institution would give me an opportunity to receive high-level education under the guidance of prominent professors and excellent teachers. I would regard my admission to Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University not only as a great honour but also as a great responsibility and challenge to prove myself.
