The Department of Electronics Engineering has been established to foster technical education and research, in order to meet the growing need of qualified and efficient engineers & academician in the country and across the globe. The department offers 2-year full time Maters Course with specialization in Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Electronics & Instrumentation (EIE) and 5-year integrated master’s course with specialization in Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Electronics & Instrumentation (EIE). The department has made its presence felt distinctively in the world of academics and engineering professionals within a short span of time. The department has organized various events for the development of the students like expert talk on Wireless Communication, Digital System Design, and the development of presentation skills. To inculcate the habit of organizing & managing events, the department has formed a club in the name of “Engineers Club”. The department is growing steadily by expanding its gamut of academic activities and interaction with industry.

The University has 6 fully functional computer labs with more than 250 computers with latest PIV, 40GB HHD, 1GB RAM; 256Kbps lease line fiber optic internet facility.

The university campus has 2 libraries with more than 10,000 subject related volumes written by eminent authors periodicals and journals related to electronics engineering, Personality Development, Communication Skills etc.

1. Department students actively participate in cultural as well as Technical intra- university and interuniversity event.

2. Department of Electronics Engineering coordinated Robotics Competition held at UCOE, Punjabi University, Patiala. University student of 5year M-Tech EIE, Bhargav Bassi participated in competition.

3. A team of students from the department participate in robotics workshop held at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur College of Engineering and got 3rd position.These students Jasdeep Singh, Bhargav Bassi, Nirpal Singh, Sandeep Singh  where selected for further competition which was held at IIT Delhi.

4. Department of Electronics Engineering conduct a two day Robotics Workshop and competition on 8th -9th October, 2013 by a company Robosapiens . Students from all engineering departments has participated in this workshop.

5. Two days workshop on Soft Skills has been organised by Department of Electronics Engineering which was presented by Kshitij Mehra and Satyender Tiwari from Yuvshaala which includes different modules as physometric test , Tree of life, Do’s & Don’t of group discussion, resume making and etc.
