Dr. Harjinder Singh, Distinguished Professor, Director Riddet Institute, New Zealand has visited university twice after the establishment of Food Processing Technology department and has delivered lectures. It will be a great opportunity for our students and Faculty to get more knowledge and guidance from the renowed faculty of Riddet Institute, Massey University, New Zealand.

1. Department have actively participated in National conference on ‘’ Emerging Horizons in Science and Technology’’ EHST-2014, and ‘’STEMM’’ 2014 which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine.

2. Department has organised invited lecture by Mr. J S Sandhu, Rettd. Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore and Alternate Director, CFL, Mysore.

3. Department has organised various Food Plant Visits of the students, as this will add more practical knowledge and processing Techniques followed in food industries

4. A Visit to Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana was organised and Students visited their Labs and interacted with Faculty membersof PAU.
