The Department of Physics has laboratories equipped with the required infrastructure.
There are two undergraduate and two post graduate lab consisting of experiments related to:
Solid State Physics (Hall effect, B-H curve, Four probe, Thomson’s method etc.)
Electronics (Digital and Analog Kits)
Optics (Michelson Interferometer, Spectrometer, Newton’s Ring Appratus, Telescopes, Microscope, He-Ne Laser)
Nuclear Physics (G.M. Counters and Gamma ray spectrometer)
Apart from UG and PG labs, the department has five research labs:
Two for theoretical nuclear physics (for low and intermediate energy).
One for Materials Science (MSRL)
One for Gamma Rays Spectroscopy
One for Optical Materials Synthesis
