Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students

Scheduled Caste

This is a centrally sponsored scheme.  Under scheme, Punjab domicile students belonging to Scheduled caste classes are given Scholarship by Punjab Govt.
(i)    Conditions of Eligibility: The students must belong to the scheduled caste/scheduled tribe and the annual income of student’s family must not exceed Rs. 2.5 Lac.
(ii)    Fee: According to Government of India letter no. 11017/01/2008-SCD-V dated 29-04-2013, the SC/ST students whose parents/guardians have annual income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 Lac shall not be charged tuition fee and non-refundable compulsory fee (such as fee for admission, registration, tuition fee , sports, union. Library, magazine, medical, examination and such fee as are compulsory charged by the University) at the time of admission.

How to Apply:
The claimants for scholarships above must submit the following documents along with admission form:
i.    Application of scholarship.
ii.    Self-attested Affidavit regarding income to be submitted by student’s father/guardian, if employed in unorganized sector or salary certificate in case of government as proof of income.
iii.    Domicile certificate.
iv.    Caste Certificate issued by competent authority; ADC/SDM/EM/Tehsildar
v.    Photostat copies of Matric certificate and last examination passed.
vi.    Photocopy of Adhaar Card Number (UID)
vii.    Own bank account number of claimant, linked to Adhaar card and with IFSC code.
viii.    One passport size photograph Claimant/student is herself/himself responsible for applying online for SC scholarship by last date notified by the university.
