Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab) is a missionary, charitable and humanitarian institution undertaken by SGPC, Sri Amritsar. The vision of the university is “Creation of Value-Based Knowledge Society” and the mission of the university is to harmonize the high moral values laid out in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and other Holy Scriptures with the latest developments in the rapidly advancing technologies. University is offering under graduate, post graduate and doctorate programs in various disciplines like Religious Studies, Languages, Performing Arts, Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Education, Physical Education, Commerce, Management, Physiotherapy, Law etc. in different departments under various faculties. Strong academic system, facilitated by qualified and committed faculty is a big asset of the university to transform the young minds into competent and motivated professionals through the effective classroom teaching and field projects. All departments of the university develop and implement outcome-based curriculum and adopt outcome-based learning techniques to achieve course and program outcomes. University has well-equipped laboratories for science students and cultivating field within the campus for agricultural trials. University has implemented NEP-2020 for under graduate programs from academic session 2023-24. The examination system of the university is transparent to the students. The university has the feedback policy from students, researchers and stakeholders to incorporate their worth idea. University has its different policies to provide healthy academic environment to faculty, staff and students at the campus. University has its scholarship schemes “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship” to help the needy students and “Meritorious Scholarship” to help and acknowledge the meritorious students. University organizes campus placement drives for the students from time to time.
