Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab) is a missionary, charitable and humanitarian institution undertaken by SGPC, Sri Amritsar. The vision of the university is “Creation of Value-Based Knowledge Society” and the mission of the university is to harmonize the high moral values laid out in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and other Holy Scriptures with the latest developments in the rapidly advancing technologies. University is offering doctorate programs in various disciplines like Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies, Religious Studies, Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Computer Science, Education, Physical Education, Punjabi, English, Economics, History, Sociology, Commerce, Management, Physiotherapy and Law. University has its Research and Seed Money Policies. Faculty of the university have been undertaken and completed research projects granted by funding agencies. University has well-equipped research laboratories for research scholars. Keeping in mind the changing trends of research towards multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research, research development cell of the university organizes a national level research meet yearly to provide a common platform to researchers to share ideas and make fruit discussions in regard to multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary approach of research. To facilitate the research scholars of the university, lectures on different research issues and methodology are arranged under the functioning of research development cell from time to time.
