Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, change and other properties. Mathematics has wide applications in many fields of Physical Sciences, Applied Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering and Social Sciences. The Department since its very inception in 2011 has aimed at being the center of excellence in Mathematics. The vision of the Department is not only to transform the young people into competent and motivated professionals but also to contribute towards the development of nation through teaching, research, consultancy and training activities. The Department offers interdisciplinary courses at Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctorate level and is also supporting Agriculture Science, Engineering, Emerging Technologies and Social Sciences departments through the teaching of core and advanced courses at Graduate and Postgraduate level. There are lot of placement opportunities for the students of Mathematics in teaching, research, banking and other sectors of the economy.
