National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India (MHRD) to provide an online storehouse of all academic awards viz. certificates, diplomas, degrees, mark-sheets etc. It allows the academic institutions/boards/eligibility assessment bodies etc. to lodge and upload the academic awards which are authenticated and validated. NAD would be of immense benefit to various stakeholders viz., academic institutions, students, prospective employers etc, as now degrees, mark sheets, certificates etc., would be available with just a click of the mouse.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University participated in NAD depository services since 2017. The academic degrees awarded by SGGSWU from the 2017 onwards are being uploaded into the NAD portal in the NAD certificate template format (digitally signed).
NAD cell has been established at the university which act as the nodal agency to facilitate the process of digitalisation of academic degrees of the students.
All the students of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, either currently studying or graduated since 2021 are required to get themselves registered in NAD through the Student Registration Portal of NAD (https://nad.digitallocker.gov.in/students).
The students need to register in NAD and obtain a NAD ID only once. The same NAD ID has to be used for multiple degrees or higher education of the same student.
Students who have already registered themselves in NAD and holding a valid NAD ID are required to inform the details to the NAD Cell for linking and mapping activity.
